Jon Dean, Founder & CEO
As Founder and CEO of Dean Media Group, Jon (‘JD’) Dean leads all strategic initiatives with an entrepreneurial vision and experience unique in the realm of financial marketing services.
Fully versed in the entire financial marketing mix, JD possesses more than a decade of financial sales, marketing, design and development experience, including work on both the client and agency sides. Through guidance and education, JD instills a confidence in the work in everything DMG does. He has deep working relationships with countless leaders in the financial industry, which are constantly leveraged to provide our clients with the absolute best financial marketing knowledge available.
JD started his career at market data vendor FutureSource, where he quickly realized the desperate need of many financial firms in terms of marketing help – specifically, in the exploding digital space. In the years following the acquisition of FutureSource by Interactive Data Corporation (formerly NYSE: IDC), JD left his Vice President post to apply his experience and expertise to his own venture – and DMG was born. While attending on a golf scholarship, JD graduated from the University of Notre Dame Mendoza College of Business (summa cum laude honors). He resides with his wife, daughter and two sons in Arlington Heights, Illinois.
Phil Bellini, Co-Founder & Managing Director
As DMG’s Managing Director and co-founder, Phil Bellini brings a high level of energy, wealth of knowledge and years of financial marketing experience to the company – specifically to the Advertising Solutions team, where he focuses on publisher relationships and overall revenue growth.
Working closely with DMG’s Ad Solutions Team, Phil helps find and leverage the right vehicles to deliver financial ad campaigns. He is also constantly working with financial publishers to help them better monetize their inventory and maximize revenue. Phil’s hard work has helped DMG build an extensive network of long-lasting relationships with financial publishers and advertisers around the world.
Phil is a graduate of the University of Richmond’s prestigious Robins School of Business. Majoring with a degree in Marketing, he moved back to his hometown of New York City and worked in marketing for Philip Morris USA. He then moved to Chicago where he began working in financial advertising. He lives with his wife and three sons in Wheaton, Illinois.
Frank Nicodem, Managing Director,
Operations & Ad Solutions
As Dean Media Group’s Managing Director of Operations & Ad Solutions, Frank is responsible for key company metrics and analytics, inventory monetization and campaign performance analysis, and additional marketing responsibilities.
Frank is also responsible for a web analytics review on both internal and external properties, including trend analysis and recommendations.
Frank has spent nine years working in the financial sector, including a tenure in online advertising at Interactive Data Corporation. Frank is a graduate of Wheaton College in Wheaton, IL. Frank and his family reside in Geneva, IL.
Meghan McCarthy, Managing Director,
Media & Marketing Services
As DMG’s Managing Director of Media & Marketing Services, Meghan McCarthy leads the financial media services team with expansive industry knowledge and years of experience working with hundreds of global financial publishers.
Partnering with financial clients and publishers to maximize their ROI, Meghan helps clients reach their end goals by constantly searching for new ideas and areas to explore. Meghan has helped DMG build personal, lasting relationships with more publishers than any other financial marketing company. Spawned from these relationships, our DMG agency clients enjoy access to otherwise unknown opportunities.
Meghan has worked in financial media for over 7 years. Prior to joining DMG, she worked on the client side for a leading financial brokerage company. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing Management while attending the University of Akron. Meghan resides in Chicago.
Justin Perry, Marketing Director
As DMG’s Marketing Director, Justin Perry heads up corporate marketing as well as research and development for the company as a whole.
His unique approach to marketing, coupled with years of financial industry experience, has made him an integral part of the DMG team – providing strategy, insight and fresh ideas to everything that we do.
Justin has been in marketing for over 12 years, 7 of which have been within the financial marketing industry. He previously worked for Lind-Waldock, a leading futures brokerage. He has a Bachelors degree in Multimedia from University of Illinois and a Masters Degree in User-Centered Design from DePaul University. Justin lives in Chicago.
